Although they can include challenging conditions, H.I.C.K. (Historic Indiana Countryside on Knobbies) Rides are our most popular events. We use our mountain bikes to explore remote paved and gravel roads. H.I.C.K. Rides are low-key, casual events, loaded with scenery, packed with fun, and completely free of attitude. We do H.I.C.K. Rides all year, but we especially like to do them in winter. Join us on our next H.I.C.K. Ride. Keep an eye on the site or give us your e-mail address and we'll add you to our mail list (which we do not share with anyone).

One of the few flat sections on the Bennington H.I.C.K. Ride, and it isn't completely flat.
One of the many stout climbs on this route.
The "Historic" in "Historic Indiana Countryside on Knobbies."
The roads are narrow, remote, and scenic.
Multiple stream crossings make most H.I.C.K. Rides unsuitable after heavy rain or during snowmelt. The Bennington H.I.C.K. Ride is no exception. Fortunately our area streams drain as quickly as they fill. This one had been four feet deeper just twelve hours before we came through.
The only commerce on this ride is the Moorefield store, and it's 30 miles into the route. Pack accordingly.
